The hydrocracker (HDC) is a key conversion unit in a refinery, where feeds with a high carbon-to-hydrogen ratio (gas oils, Cycle oils, Coker gas oils, deasphalted oils) are upgraded into a variety of products — i.e. jet fuel, diesel, and naphtha in the presence of a catalyst and hydrogen.
